Is it True that Gemstones Have Healing and Spiritual Powers?

Most people take gemstones at face value, such as gemstone bead jewellery; that is, jewellery to wear just for cosmetic purposes. But stones are also considered to have several healing properties; for example (depending on the stone) the ability to encourage confidence, concentration, relieve headaches and stress, promote a calm mind, and encourage positivity.

In this article, I will cast an eye on a small selection of gemstones and their commonly believed curing powers. A disavowal before you read any further : The details of this article are grounded on common beliefs, and there can be no scientific proof as to the effectiveness of such stones and their claimed healing powers.

Amazonite
This gem aids self-assurance and gives hope to the wearer.

Amethyst
Amethyst stills the mind and assists increased tranquility and harmony. It subdues self-destructive propensities and boosts self-healing. Amethyst also bestows wisdom and honesty on the wearer.

Malachite
A strong stone that can soak up destructive energies and pollution. Effective for individuals suffering from emotional stress.

Moonstone
Lifts the emotions, aids the forces of intuition and assists the ability to gain access to the subconscious.

Sodalite
assists the power to communicate and understand others feelings. Effective for the growth of spirituality and intuition.

The above gemstones are only a small pick of gems that are claimed to possess medicinal properties. The only genuine way to realise if these stones can work for you is to wear such gems if you suffer from a complaint that a gem is claimed to help ease.

Fashion Industry – Surviving the Recession?

The recession has given us all a fashion rethink. It’s already been well remarked that the downturn in the economy has heavily affected the fashion industry. Although recessions come and go, this recent one we’re in is going to have a chronic effect on how we see fashion. We are living in a very practical age these days. Before these pragmatic days we’re now living in, we delighted in the decadance of fashion – nothing was really too extreme or too overpriced – you could only be accused of being too lacklustre. Now though the labels and fashion catwalks are getting bad publicity. And since everybody’s conscious of globalisation, even low-priced fashion brands are receiving bad publicity for using sweatshops to develop their goods! Is it that everybody has become so incredibly hard to please?

First of all, fashion is very much alive and always will be. As a matter of fact, looking online there is ample rivalry between online shop traders (e.g. searching for fashion accessories or Adidas watches) – a sign there is still a great need for fashion. It’s the old-school idea that is expiring – of being dictated to by the big brands. Actually, fashion has always followed the public rather than the other way around, and nowadays many issues are stopping us buying from big labels. First Of All, young people are much more aware of globalisation, and showing off your clothing labels makes you look selfish and thoughtless in certain circles. Second, it’s the economy, stupid! Style has invariably been seen as something of a luxury, not an essential. In an economic downturn, non-essential items are the first to be forgotten on the store shelves. Lastly, individuals define themselves a lot more individually nowadays -we don’t want to be ordered how to act or what to wear, the days of millions watching the same TV show are finished, and fashion demands that sort of sheep-like thinking to sell in numbers.

What is the future for fashion brands? Like always, they need to adapt to exist – create a larger range of fashion lines to cater to more corners of the marketplace. If you’re a tiny store selling individual clothing at a decent price, the future looks bright for you despite the dreary economic times we are in. These days, individuals are blending their styles, purchasing from marketplaces and smaller, bargain-priced fashion shops.

“Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.” is a legendary Japanese producer of clockworks and wrist watches based in Tokyo (Japan). Citizen has been mainly founded as Shokosha Watch Research Institute in the year 1918. The business organization was built in 1924 when the first product, a small pocket watch called Citizen, was placed on the market. In 1930 the company assumed the name Citizen Watch Company, too. The founders once have been selected the name Citizen because they attempted to find a direct way to the peoples spirit. This is still nowadays the notion behind wrist watches built by Citizen.

First watch with Eco-Drive – Models reaching from dress to athletics

For Example the debut Japanese wrist watch including a wake-up-function was established by Citizen in 1958. Custom Designed Jewelry in Southern California

Filed under:Consumer Market, Design Tips, Jewelry — admin @ 11:26 am

My mom was thinking about getting her jewelry appraised, but wasn’t too sure where. I told her to go this Southern California custom jewelry store because it was close to our house. They do jewelry appraisal, jewelry repair, consignment, and much more. The worst part about this story is that I had to go with her. I knew that I was dead meat and my whole day was shot because my mom loves her diamonds, gems, necklaces, and bracelets. You name any type of jewelry, she loves it, and she has to take her time studying each one like she’s going to buy them all.

The place was small, but very accommodating and made my mom and I feel comfortable. My mom had many questions about gems, and they answered all of them since they have a gemologist on staff. They also did my mom’s jewelry appraisal and she was happy about the worth of her precious trinkets. I on the other hand was bored out of my mind, but what can a son do when trapped in a situation like this. After what seemed like an eternity we were done, and my mom was finished strolling along each of the glass cases housing all the custom jewelry and diamond rings. Her favorite cases were the ones that held the rubies and sapphires. Thank goodness she wasn’t out to buy any of them, but if she wanted to, she now has a place close to home.
